thinking slowly, learning deeply.

I am Aayushi Verma, a PhD researcher in computer vision and security.

Welcome to my website and blog, where I write about all things computer/data science, astronomy, research, organization & productivity, and more! All opinions are my own.

In my PhD research, I’m researching computer vision security by trying to answer the question “Can we make secure computer vision systems?”. And by secure, I mean robust, trustworthy, explainable, and maybe even provable. My long-term goal is to use the technical skills I’m learning through my computer vision security research, and apply it in the space domain.

I previously worked full-time as a data scientist at Institute for Defense Analyses. I earned my MS in Data Science from Pace University in 2023, and my BSc in Astrophysics from University of Canterbury in New Zealand in 2021.
